September 30, 2021 We picked this hotel because of location and the reputation of the Comfort Inn. I have stayed at many Comfort Inn's throughout the US as an avid traveler. The reason for this visit was because of the proximity to our house and hospital in order for my sister to recover from a kidney transplant the week prior. Staff still horrible, even worse around 3:30 AM I saw a bedbug mosey its way across the other beds pillow. I always check for bedbugs no matter what hotel I stay in, as I am a frequent traveler. I didn't see any in the mattresses creaks or crevices, but clearly I missed something. I called down to the front desk and asked them if they were aware that they had a bedbug problem. The response that was given was not only rude, but disrespectful. We shook everything out a 3AM and remember my sister just received a Kidney Transplant a week earlier and bagged our things up in plastic bags. We waited for 7AM in order to speak to the General Manager. He acted and reacted the complete opposite of any GENERAL MANAGER ever should. I was advised that Mr. L had already checked us and refused to provide an invoice. We were not given the option to check out on our own accord. Basically we were checked out by the General Manager on the 3rd day and charged for the full reservation stay of 7 days. Mr. L then turned around and accused us of bringing the bedbugs in, which is absolutely outrageous and loathsome. To add insult to injury, the Comfort Inn or Mr. L saw fit to refund my credit card $50 of the $1,773.76 charged on my card for two rooms for two nights. You all should take this hotel off of your list of places to stay.
