My friend and I were about to check out of our hotel room yesterday morning when she noticed a bug on her bed. We looked at it and it was absolutely a bed bug, so we decided to check all of our bags before leaving to make sure none were inside, and she found one crawling in her bag!! We called the manager and she came in with an engineer and completely denied they were bed bugs, she insisted it was a beetle. Well, 24 hours later I have bites popping up all over my body (over 6 bites now) and have emailed and called the hotel twice to speak to the manager again and she is refusing to call me. I have no choice but to file a complaint with the Chicago health department. I was forced to throw away an expensive bag and most of my clothes I thought to the hotel, and I am still fearful I brought them home with me. Please do not stay in this hotel, the manager was beyond rude and clearly was lying to our faces. I now have google this hotel and saw that other people have posted reviews that they had beg bugs in their rooms too. This is seriously a nightmare and I do not wish this upon anyone !
