Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

I checked in to Drury Inn on 12/13/14 at 9pm and checked out by 9am the following morning. We were in town for a state cheerleading competition. The room looked nice and clean. I slept on the left side of the bed. I noticed the next morning, I had a few bites on my ankles and wrists. By Sunday, I had several bites on my left wrist to the middle of left forearm. Just a few bites on right wrist and ankles. By Sunday, the bites were very noticeable and very itchy. Took my son to pediatrician because he had the flu, his doctor looked at my arm and confirmed bedbug bites. She told me what to do to lessen itching and stressed importance of thoroughly cleaning and checking my room, luggage and clothes for bed bugs. It has been a total nightmare. Tim, mgr of Drury Inn, stated room was cleaned 2 times and no bedbugs were found. That is completely unbelievable! My bites are a direct relation to bedbugs and my stay at DruryInn.
