Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

Continue north four blocks from Taos Plaza to the Best Western Lodge & Meetings Center. �From: Denver/Colorado. Take I-25 South to Walsenburg; Take Exit To Highway 160 to Fort Garland; In Fort Garland, take Highway 159 and Highway 522 to Taos; Road will become US64/Paseo del Pueblo Norte. Continue south for approximately one mile to the Best Western Lodge & Meetings Center.

Stayed there a couple nights. I didn\'t check the bed and came back home with 50+ bed bugs bites. When I called the Kachina Lodge manager to inform her about their bed bug problem, she said they would look into it and call me back , which they never did. When I called 3 days later, the manager said they didn\'t take the time to check it out yet. Either they are straight liars and they were too busy dealing with bed bugs to call me back or worse they really don\'t care about bed bugs. In both cases, stay as far as you can !!!

We stayed for two nights. The first night, my boyfriend woke up with about 15 bites and his arms and back were swollen from it. The second night I woke up with about 10 bites, swollen on my arms, and my boyfriend has 30+ all over his arms, back & shoulders.

Spent night 8/2/16 woke up in middle of night with feeling I was being eaten alive thought I was dreaming, next morning covered with bites and egg sacks on my left arm. Company I work for knew they had bed bugs other employees have moved to and other motel. Staff is denying that they knew. I can assure you they knew.

Stayed in this hotel for 3 night and 4 days i checked the bed but didn't realize that the bed bugs lived way down deep in the mattress. I have over 67+ bites on my whole body from bed bugs. I went to a Dr today and got on steroids. And got a shot. Stay far away from this hotel was there 6-20-2017 to 6-23-2017. I called them today and they said it will be tomorrow before they will call back!

My husband and I stayed in room 157 on July 27th, 2018. We woke up with about 100 bites between the two of us. We contacted hotel management and spoke with the owner, Dean. He said he would look into it and give us a call back. He never called back and I have followed up multiple times. This has not been handled appropriately.

2019/02/17 I woke up at 3am. I felt thing crawling on me and felt I was being bitten. I though maybe I was imagining it. I got up and went to the bathroom and looked and there were huge welts all over my body. it was freezing outside and I had no where else to go so I stayed all night. In the morning I had more bites. I told the lady at check out, "Do you know that you have bed bugs?" she said, " No. All our bed bug rooms are closed." How could they do that to people? I am traumatized. The next night I could not sleep because of the extreme itching and pain and and now I am extremely stressed that I may have brought them into my home. A nightmare.

If you find bedbugs in your home you should remove as much clutter and as many items as possible from your house. Replace all bedding and examine the box spring for bedbugs.
