1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

After I have been bitten back in Houston, we checked all the rooms before we settling in. Got the first room - did the usual check - no signs of bedbugs BUT there are other dead bodies of bugs in the corner of the bed. My kid saw bedbug crawling around when he checked but we couldn\'t see anything. So we changed room to one down the hall (I think it\'s 134 or something like that). Did another check - found blood stains on the mattress, and droppings of bedbugs. We had to move again. Got an accessible room at the other end of the hotel.
