I checked into this hotel on 2/8/17. The room was dusty and later I begin to sneeze, also the carpet smelled. The box spring on the bed closet to the door contained water marks/stains. I checked out on 2/9/17 and later that afternoon as I removed my shirt I noticed that I had a total of 5 red bumps on the front and back of my arms, which itched very badly. I called the hotel the next morning and explained my situation. I called back before 3pm to provide additional information and she stated that I needed to speak with the General Manager after 2:30 that day. I called the hotel once again at 5:07 and was told that the manager was not there, so I left my information and instructions for the General Manager to call me. I also attempted to send an email along with pictures to the email address on my receipt. I also called the hotels parent company Choice Hotels and explained my complaint to a rep . She documented my complaint and called the hotel and could not get a resolution, so she explained that the General Manager would be required to call me within 72 hours. I did not receive a call from any employee from the hotel as of today 2/14/17. However I received a call from a Choice representative acknowledging that the hotel would not provide a resolution from for and that Choice was willing to provide reward points for a free night stay in any of there properties. I explained that I do not wish to stay at their properties if this is how they treat their customers and to be subjected to being bitten again. My goal is for the general public to know that this hotel has bed bugs.
