Stayed over the New Year. Woke up on New Years Day and found one bed bug. Took it to the manager who said it would be taken care of. Manager called me one time to let me know what was going to be done. I called back 4 days later and an assistant manager answered the phone. She knew nothing about the room or what was being done to remediate the situation. Disappointing.

I was traveling on business and stayed at the Crowne Plaza, Syracuse NY last week. I had just fallen asleep and was woken up around 10/11pm by something crawling on me under the sheets. My photos, video and later research would later reveal this to be a bedbug estimated to be in stage 4 of its lifecycle which I understand to mean it has been alive for 40days or more. I have photos & videos that are geocoded for time and location on premises. I called for management but was told they had left for the evening. Two staff people came up, saw the bug I had trapped, and after telling me that it was \"gross\" immediately moved me from room 915 to another room. I was told a manager would contact me first thing in the morning. That didn\'t happen. I had a morning meeting and returned late morning and went to the front desk to request a manager a 2nd time. I was told there was not one available at the time but I would be contacted as soon as they returned. That never occurred. When I checked out I left my name, mobile# and relayed my experience and dissatisfaction to the desk staff and they assured me I\'d get a call. That never happened. It\'s been 1 week now since this occurred and I have not received a call or email from anyone. Today I filed a complaint and will now start sharing my experience for other travelers to be aware of. BTW - Staff was polite, sympathetic and helpful but management has totally failed. Room was also clean except for the bedbug issue.
