We were on our way home from Colorado on 2/4/17 and stopped for the night to sleep. We checked the beds like we normally do and didn't notice anything. After unpacking and getting ready for bed I noticed several little bugs crawling on the wall near the ceiling. I couldn't really see them too well and thought they were baby roaches. The hotel staff moved our rooms, but by the time I had come back upstairs with the luggage cart and keys my wife had found a bunch more bugs crawling on the floor near the bed and in the entry way. She showed me a picture and I instantly recognized it as a bedbug. The staff were unapologetic and seemed unconcerned. I didn't want to chance infesting another hotel room so we drove straight through another 7 hours to home. After calling Hilton to complain they basically told me I had to deal with the local hotel staff for any compensation for laundry and chemicals to disinfect or van and luggage.
