Here’s the email I sent to the hotel on July 29, 2018. I have not received a response yet. Hello, I am just sending this email to inform you that although I had a nice stay at your hotel a month ago, we seemed to have acquired some unwanted hitchhikers from our stay with you from 6/30/18-7/5/18 in room #208. I have recently been subject to waking up with extremely itchy and red, cluster bug bites on my torso, in areas that are not exposed to other types of biting bugs. Everything I’ve read points to bed bugs and the clincher being, that these bites will often show up 3 weeks after staying somewhere with a lot of traffic, such as a hotel. We are currently taking our bedroom apart, and cleaning every surface, rewashing and heat treating all our clothes in the attempt to remove the bugs. Hopefully it will work and hopefully it’s early enough that the infestation is small and has not gotten into the rest of our house. I just wanted to let you know, so you might be able to take measures to prevent this from happening to others.
