Woke up with 44 bites, manager denied that they have bed bugs, but I know bedbugs.. not my first experience. Also REd Roof in Hebron, Ohio... do not stay here

After long day of travel, called Choice Hotels for assistance with locating lodging. Reservationists found the Clarion. I asked if it had bedbugs, she said no. Unfortunately, she was wrong. As j was getting the bed ready for my 82 year old mother, I saw something crawling in a pillow. My husband killed the bedbug. I thought it might have been something other than a bedbug, until I saw the molt from an adult. The hotel stunk and was dirty. The toilet had rust rings. Tha AC was off j. The room, so it was very hot - the outside temp was 73-75 degrees F at 2:30 am. Hindsight, they were probably trying to kill the bugs with heat. Very frustrated, especially after calling Choice Hotels a second time for assistance and received an unhelpful reservationists.

Was given a non smoking room, but allowed to smoke which was nice. Had stayed many times so management was always very kind. Laid down and there was a single bed bug crawling on my boyfriend. Asked management to be given a room in smoking since we never had an issue there, it was 2am and my daughter was asleep. They never offered a refund. This was April 16, 2022.
