I checked around 8:15pm on Monday,April! 10,2017. I did not see anything suspicious . I had stayed at the Oak Tree in the Spring of 2016, as a member of a group from work, without incident. I returned with the same work group.This time I awoke on April 11, 2017 to an itchy, swollen left earlobe and a similar spot on my right side. I awoke on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 to an itchy red welt on my right wrist. I did not find any bed bugs until April 13, 2017, when I awoke at around 4:30 am to multiple raised itchy spots on the right side of my neck and underside of my jaw. I found a bed bug hiding on the underside of one pillow. I captured it an took it to the front desk. The clerk said he did not know what kind of bug it was and said I should show it to, "the day people". I had looked up bed bug pictures once I found it. I told him I would and would also show it to my superiors. I took it to the director of my work group. I found out there had been a similar incident the year before. My employer was paying for the room. I don't know if they got a refund. I do know that the hotel management said nothing to me until I said something to housekeeping and the, "day people" as I checked out on April 13, 2017. Then, both said they were, "aware".. None has offered to even give me direction about how to be sure not to infest my home!
