Beware of Bed Bugs! We stayed at the Best Western in Wittenberg in room 123 on January 25, 2025, and had a terrible experience. Around 11:30 PM, I saw movement on the bed. When I turned on the lights, I found a bed bug full of blood. After inspecting the bed further, we discovered a baby bed bug, exoskeletons, and feces—clear signs of an infestation. We took pictures and videos as proof. We immediately brought the evidence to the front desk, but the staff dismissed our concerns, saying it was "impossible" despite holding the bugs in their hands. We packed up and checked out by 1:30 AM. On January 27, we spoke with management, who tried to claim the bugs were "Asian Beetles." Then, on February 1, corporate responded, stating they wouldn’t take action because the hotel denied the presence of bugs. This experience was unacceptable. The way management handled the situation was unprofessional, and their refusal to acknowledge clear evidence is alarming. If you care about cleanliness, honesty, and customer service, I strongly recommend staying elsewhere.
