Developed symptoms consistent either bed bugs, red, itchy welts on my shoulders, back and arms within hours of departing the best western gateway on 800 S. Abilene Blvd., Aurora, CO. Called front desk on Feb. 6th and gentleman said he would look into it. Drafted and submitted email with photos of bites.

Stayed at this location for 4 nights (1/13/20 - 1/17/20) and ended up with multiple bedbug bites all over my shoulder, legs and extremities. Called back immediately to report and the GM called back few days later confirming there's no bedbugs and pest control was called and the room was checked. However, would not provide any evidence that testing was done or show me the report due to 'privacy reason'. So I just have to take his word? I've sent him photos of my bites and also my doctor's note confirming they're bedbug bites, but he insisted that they're not liable and I accused me of bringing the bedbugs in! I was miserable for the next few weeks due to itchiness but the GM would not refund the stay. Only offered 1/2 which didn't even cover my doctor's visit. Extremely disappointed.

October 2019. Room 307, visible bedbugs crawling on hotel walls, bathroom wall. Bites on back and arms, neck, requested room change in middle of the night. Female hotel attendent rude and dismissive, suggested we brought bugs in with us: per email from facility general mgr, room was positive for evidence of bugs. Literally delivered Best Western a cup of bugs from our room. They said because they were able to change us to another room for the night, we were only eligible for a half refund?? This was only after speaking to a manager the next day, front desk refused to offer any assistance at all-- other than a room change, AND ONLY BECAUSE WE LITERALLY TOOK THEM A CUP OF THEIR OWN BUGS. Had an allergic reaction to the bugs, ended up requiring prescription to resolve month-long symptoms, welting, local swelling, and itching from all the bites. AWFUL!!!
