Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

After 2 nights I have multiple bites on right ankle, right thigh, right knee. Not mosquito or flea bites. Hotel ..needed vacuuming, roof leaked, staff iffy.

Checked in 11/2. On 11/4 I discovered about 15 bites on my torso and another 20 on my lower buttock and upper thigh. I went straight to the front desk and the night manager suggested they were MOSQUITO OR FLEA BITES!!! I returned to the room and searched the bed. Turns out the upper mattress is BRAND NEW and the box spring is sealed in a 'Bedbug-proof' zippered bag and sealed with a small numbered tag. Huge hint that they have a history of having a problem in this room. 24 hours later they finally moved us to a new room. This room has no sealing bags on the box springs. NO offer to refund the nights. NO offer to clean my things. Bad, bad, bad.
