I rented rooms 514 & 516 on October 18 & 19. When I woke up the morning of the 20th I discovered several bites on my arm, neck and back of head. Not knowing what they where I showed it to family members only during breakfast. Further investigation showed the bites to be apparently from bedbugs. I immediately called the hotel that evening upon my arrival in Miami. The clerk who answered the call did not sound overly concerned. That led me to email the Starwood CEO who had an email sent to me that I would be contacted by the hotel general manager. When he contacted me he kept stressing that the "technician " found no sign of bedbugs. He then sent me an email which practically called me a liar. He wrote that they found "NO" signs of bedbugs. The capitalization of no showed what he thought of my report. He then offered me 3,000 SPG points for the No cold water in the shower and for the slow drain. I never asked for a refund. I never asked them to pay my dry cleaning bill for the clothing I had to clean. I never asked for any compensation at all. A customer service oriented company would have made the offer on their own. Especially due to the fact that my family rented 6 rooms and hosted a wedding at the hotel. My suggestion is to stay away from the Sheraton Eatontown.
