I was at this hotel for over a week. After a few days I noticed several bites that I didn't know how I got. I talked to the front desk and was told they hadn't gotten any reports or complaints but that they would take care of all my cleaning costs. Since it was late and I had a lot of luggage I opted to stay in that room and just sleep in the other bed. The next night there were more bites. I told the front desk again and was told that housekeeping would make sure to clean the room really well that day. The next day I had more bites and on my face this time. I again went to the front desk where the concierge took pictures and told me that a report had been made with their insurance company. I have since returned home to be told that the pest control service says there are no bed bugs. I have medical and photographic proof to the contrary. We have yet to resolve this matter but I will certainly think twice before I ever stay at another Sheraton.

I checked into the Sheraton National Hotel on Friday, February 17, 2017 and checked out on Monday, February 20, 2017. On Saturday (2/18/17) I noticed my first bites on my back. On Sunday (2/19/17) I had three more bites two raised welts on my right arm and one raised welt on my right foot. On Monday (2/20/17) I had two additional itchy welts on my left arm. I researched the room and found a live bed bug. I killed the bug and placed the bug in a plastic cup. I went down to the front desk to let the manager know. I showed the manager, my bites and the bedbug. He informed me that he will have to file an incident report, took a photo copy of my license and took one photo of my arm, and told me that the insurance copy should be reaching out to me shortly. I wrote down my information and provided a detailed account of my experience. I asked him to sign the paper stating that I gave the bug to him - he refused and began to speak to me with a raised voice. I told him I would like a copy of the incident report, he said he wasn't going to do it right this minute due to the line at the desk; I told him fine and that I would be back. I came back a few hours later and asked for the incident report that he was supposed to write up, he said that I cannot have a copy because it is an 'internal affair.' (which is ridiculous) I called Sheraton directly and have hit a wall. Their insurance company has yet to reach out to me.
