Checked in Friday July 20th - on morning of Saturday July 21st awoke at 5AM to find 3 bugs on bed pillow, Captured them with white kleenex and squeezed one to find it was full of blood. Placed the kleenex with bugs and blood into the plastic bag that lined the ice bucket, tied it off and took it to the front desk immediately. The person on duty (11PM-7AM) said "Ok we will get Ecolab over here" - "this happens because of the many international travelers we have". She also called them "marvelous bed bugs" and then stated she was just being sarcastic. Told her we were checking out immediately and did not expect to be charged for this night. Placed all our clothing in garbage bags and headed to a laundry mat to wash in hot water and high heat - some were dry clean only and obviously cannot be worn now. Upon arriving home, placed as many items that could not be washed as possible (such as shoes) in the freezer in our garage and left suitcases and bags in black plastic trash bags in the garage as well. Received a phone call from Best Western (San Antonio phone number) later on that Saturday stating they would reduce our room fee by 50% - replied that was not acceptable and will dispute the credit card charge if it appears.
