I have always done my own BB search when entering a motel room. I DID not this time as I felt "clean" entering this room. While crawling into bed, I did noticed a few old, washed blood specks on the fitted sheet, I told my husband I was starting to feel uncomfortable so I did a fast check of the bed and the brown recliner in the room. Nothing really stood out to me as being BB related. During the night I got up to use the bathroom and while on the toilet I noticed a bug on the bathroom floor. I picked it up and flushed it. When waking up in the morning, I knew for sure I had BB bites all over my stomach, back and arms. Spoke to my husband and he too has a few bites on his stomach. I went through pure hell a few years back with BB bring them home from Spearfish SD. and swore it would never happen again. I have been to many hotels since then and have always done a BB search, and have found them in the rooms and beds,,,why oh why didn't I do it this time?
