Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

On the day of September 1st 2024 at 4:56 a.m. I noticed something crawling on my pillow and when I went to go check it was a bug. I wasn't sure what kind so I used Google lens and that bug was defined as a bed bug. This incident occurred in the hotel super 8 Wyndham off Joliet i-55 in room 305. I reported it to the front desk and they had no rooms available so I had to wait the next day. And that's when they switched me out to the next room which is 307. No they didn't compensate me or even try to give me a discount. They are very rude! Never again will I come back.
