Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

On 09/15/24 at 2:30pm I booked a room at the Juneau AK super 8 due to a cancelled flight. I went to sleep and woke up again at around 7:30 am feeling itchy all over my arms and legs. When I got out of the bed I turned on the lights and drew the covers under which I saw several bed bugs crawling around. I then dug deeper and found a pile of them hiding in the back right corner of the box spring. I then went to the front desk and to check out and notified the clerk about the bed bugs and that I wanted a refund. The clerk then told me that they would have a staff member investigate and would contact me if they found anything. I still have not heard back from them. This room cost $300 for one night.
