We stayed at The Quality Inn and Suites, Market Street, from 12th June to 15Th June 2018. On the morning of check out, I noticed my underarm covered in welts. On inspecting the bed, we found a bug and on crushing it, discovered it was full of blood. On check out we asked to meet with the General Manager but as she was too busy to meet with us, the Assistant General Manger, came out to meet with us. In measured and polite words, after first praising the breakfast staff, we informed her of the bed bug problem and I showed her my arm covered with welts. To our utter shock, , became suddenly aggressive and offensive, denying any possibility of such bugs in the room. Eventually she agree to have the room checked and revert to us by 6 pm the same evening. Needless to say we never heard from her or anyone else from the hotel that evening or till today. At no point was any regret expressed by them for the incident and the inconvenience. Repeated emails finally elicited responses from Choice hotels who, after prodding, then shared a pest control report that the hotel had apparently had done to show no bug infestation was there in the room occupied by us. They continued to absolve the hotel of any responsibility. I would suggest travelers be aware of the potential hazards of staying at this property based on our actual experience as those welts did not just appear on their own considering we had been at the hotel for 3 nights before the incident manifested itself.

I stayed at the Baymont Motel from 4/30/19 to 5/4/19. I discovered bed bugs at first in room 343 after the bites became infected. On 5/1/19, I informed the front desk and was moved to room 430. I was not offered any concessions (refund or to wash my clothes. I washed my clothes before moving to the other room. On 5/4/19, I observed a bed bug in the bed after I noticed a bite on my leg. There was also blood on the sheet where it bit me. I caught it, photographed it and then killed it. I took the bed apart, yet did not observe any more bed bugs, yet the mattress was filthy and heavily stained. I then promptly checked out and was not offered a refund.
