Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

had a stay at the hotel 7/31 and 8/1 reported bed bugs in the room. saw them on the headboard, had to leave after that, reported to the front desk, stated they would lock down the room. not happy and very itchy

I stayed at the Ameristar Star Casino hotel for two nights. December 13 & 14th, room 619 checked out on December 15th. After arriving home the bits and the itching started. I immediately took some benadryl and applied cortisone cream to my skin. I sent a email to the Casino letting them know I was bitten. Approximately a week or so later a manager at the hotel called me and advised me that the room tested positive for bedbugs also she told me that a Mr. J would call however to this day I have not from a Mr. J. I have pictures of my bits however I am having a issue with getting a copy of the bedbug report. I am still paranoid and still itching from the bites and I am having some anxiety as well.
