This is to report bedbugs found in our room #306 at Watson's hotel. Our stay was from 2/4/17 to 2/6/17 the bugs were found the morning of our check out. My friend saw the bugs in her bed, I slept on the couch but did see the 2 bugs She found and was bitten on the neck ,She put the bug in a cup and brought it to the front desk. The receptionist saw it and was upset and explained how there are dogs that go through all of the time to check for this and gave us an immediate refund. The manager was not on site and unavailable . My friend spoke with the manager, this afternoon and he was incredibly rude and unhelpful. We have spent 2 days washing all of our clothes, my comforter and pillows. everything was dried and placed in plastic bags and will need to stay that way for at least a month according to a report seen on the internet, the "eggs" could last for up to 6 months.. Coats were dropped off at the dry cleaners. So, we are now inconvenienced with part of our wardrobes unavailable for use, I needed a new comforter and pillows and I feel the interior of our cars should be professionally cleaned since our bags were on the floor and trunks of our cars. Who knows what was infested, What options do we have? How can we be reimbursed for 2 days of distress and inconvenience? I have suede boots and moccasins that I sprayed with Lysol and placed in bags but they were ruined, my leather handbag was thrown out. Mgmt offered to pay for the dry cleaning of our coats only,and were told the dogs just went through in November and nothing was found. Well that was three months ago. If you look on their website you can see bedbugs as an issue dating back to 2004. What recourse do we have? After 2 days we ARE very concerned, upset , exhausted and angry that it's a strong possibility our cars and homes could very well be infested, as careful as we were. Very disturbing to see the lack of concern shown . And lack of effort to try to make us whole again. The emotional and financial toll is indescribable. Not knowing the out come of this infestation at minimal one month is quite disturbing for 2 seniors on limited incomes. I can't express enough the emotional toll this has taken on us.
