We checked in on Oct 7th 2024 and at first I thought it was maybe mosquito bites after I woke up the first night and was kinda itchy and my kiddo had a few bites to so I thought maybe it was from the park but then my worst fear came true as I awoke the next night with a full grown bed bug on my face I immediately slapped it off of me and squished it and threw it away. I had never seen a bed bug before so I honestly just thought it was some weird bug but then I started searching and as I laid out the blankets and pillows I seen more and more... I googled it to see what it was and it was most definitely bed bugs. I am going to the Dr today to get photos and evidence since when we confronted management they said they had bugs and neglected to tell us before we checked in. When I asked for an incident report he absolutely said no and refused to help pay for our vehicle and other items to be treated for bed bugs since we are homeless and live in our van. We had brought all of our blankets clothes and towels into the hotel room for over two days and now I have called a lawyer and filed a lawsuit for emotional damage and property loss since my family and I have been bitten head to toe 20 plus bites we have to get tested for diseases now since those bugs can give you all kinda things. We had to throw away almost everything we owned and are now freezing in 40 degree weather with no blankets because of the absolutely atrocious people who own motel Reedsburg in Reedsburg, WI.
