2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

When arriving at the hotel i pulled back the fitted sheet and inspected the mattress. There was a bed bug in the seam. When i called the front desk she said she would move us but assured me they did not have bed bugs. When she came to the room she looked at the bug and said "oh this is not good." She knew what it was. She walked to the next room with us and her and i looked at that mattress and we found bed bugs there too. She moved us to yet another room which did not have bugs. That woman from the hotel called me the day after we checked out and told me they were gnats. I have been trained for work in bed bugs and i know thats what they were so did she that night. She was defensive on the phone and said "i knew we didnt have bed bugs."
