Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

I woke up to red raised bites all over my feet. I inspected the mattress and there were black specs all under the mattress. While I was in bed a small black bug crawled in front of me. I called the front desk and they tried to say it was just dirty. They moved me to another hotel (that is also on this registry) The following morning they said they were not bedbugs. They are DEFINITELY bedbugs. Identical to the pictures online of the bites and what to look for in the linens. They are not taking this seriously and are just trying to pretend it didn't happen. This was a huge deal as I am now concerned I will bring them home..I have notified the local health department.
