We were guests in Room 310 from 3/17-3/20/2021. My daughter has an allergy to bedbugs. Upon leaving, a live bug was seen crawling on the bed that I have videos of, on top of the bed on my daughters side and I filmed this and took pictures from inside the room. We turned back covers and there was fresh blood and my daughters arm began having welts. We called the front desk, head housekeeping was sent to our room and she took photos of the bug as well as my daughters arm. We then looked under the sheets and at the end of the bed there were old dried blood stains like on my daughters side but at the very foot of the bed. My daughter had a welt on her left arm. It was a fresh bite. The front desk called, apologized and offered one night credit and asked how long it would take for us to leave because she was calling Orkin. Then the housekeeper on the hall came in our room and she saw the live bug and smashed it with her Ungloved hand and said “Ohh sorry”. The night prior we were up all night because there was a guest smoking. The clerk then knocked on our door and explained it was marijuana and we repeatedly had to call the front desk regarding this because it was coming under our door and the clerk came up at least 2 times. Now my daughter has 4 welts today from the bites. I had to leave immediately and get her topical and oral medication to treat the symptoms and it cut our time short and was an added unexpected expense. Also, the room had a broken plastic window pull, a running toilet as well as fabric hanging out beneath the air conditioning system. It was a terrible experience and I am hoping during COVID we don’t have to go to the hospital because of these bites. My daughter had to go to Urgent Care and was put on Steroids and 50mg of Benadryl 4 times a day. She missed work today and will be out the next few days for treatment. At minimum I would like an entire refund but the hotel only offered one nights credit. I’m just praying we don’t get sick the next 14 days due to the uncleanliness.
