My family and I stayed at the Baymont by Wyndham last night (2023-12-28) and we were woken up around 1:30 am by bed bugs crawling all over our bed and had several bites on our bodies. I went to the front desk and asked for a refund and the lady working (very nice btw) told me that I could not get a refund until the manager arrives in the morning but that she could put us in another room. I had to get my entire family up and pack all of our things and move to a new floor. This morning after talking with two ladies at the front desk I was finally able to speak to the manager. She gave me a partial refund stating it was because we still stayed. If I would have gotten my refund last night we would’ve been able to go stay somewhere else but I had to wait for her to be there in the morning. She continued to argue with me and told me that I don’t know how things work in the hotel business. We had to leave some of our clothes behind because we do not want to carry the bugs on us.
