On the morning of 03/03/2017 which was the day we were checking out, I woke up to find two bite marks on my body. One on my face and the other on my right arm. My husband told me those were bed bug bites and after googling and confirming what bed bug bites look like, I began looking for the bed bugs. I picked up the brown blanket that we had removed from the plastic zipper case from the closet a few nights earlier and began shaking it over the white sheets and low and behold out fell a bed bug. I was horrified that I had been bite by a bug that was in my bed. I reported it the front desk and the clerk asked what room number we were in and wrote it down on a sticky note. He did not offer us anything for our horrific experience and did not even offer to take off the $40 per night parking fee we were paying. It was almost like this was nothing new for them. I was not pleased with how the situation was handled and will not stay at this hotel ever again. I did happen to take a picture of the bed bug that was in my bed. Hopefully they do not give that room to another person until it has been decontaminated!
