Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

Began stay on 5/30/2024 stayed in room 305 for a week and then staff moved us to room 307, the same day bed bug bitesstarted appearing and when mentioned to front desk personal went above and beyond to get me and my wife out of the hotel Purposely running business Marriott credit card wrong repeatedly so as to be able to refuse service. The worst and most terrible hotel stay of my life. My wife suffers from lupus and all of the hassle and stress of this situation have almost put her in the hospital, this issue has been escalated to Marriott Corporate for resolution. We have never had issues with Marriott Hotels and are shocked by the lack of customer service we have received at The Residence Inn Sarasota. Hopefully we will hear from corporate very soon.
