Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

I was just getting out of the shower and just layed down to watch TV and felt something itchy on my shoulder. I was horrified when I saw the huge bite there. I immediately began to inspect our bed and found the culprit a LARGE BEDBUG filled with blood on the sheet. I immediately took pictures of the bug and my shoulder. Then my girlfriend picked up her phone from the bed to find a small bedbug on her cellphone. I contacted front desk immediately and was told that the manager will be in at 8-830 to address the situation as a high priority and then was told that they hadn't had any complaints about this room. I informed the employee that I had children in the room and pictures of the bug and the bite. I stated that I will need a new room and want to be compensated for the inconvenience of having to relocate rooms. I am going to discuss this with the manager.
