My husband and I booked one night in this hotel (2/16/16) and were given room 104, a king room with both interior (corridor) and exterior (parking lot) doors. I inspected the bed thoroughly, as is my usual practice, and was satisfied that the mattress was clean. However, I discovered a bug on the bathroom floor and realized immediately it was a bedbug. Another check of the mattress was completed, with nothing found. It wasn\'t until I spotted another bedbug crawling on the rug (and an even closer inspection of the bedspread) that I spotted two bugs in the hemmed edge of the spread. The front desk was notified; the clerk came and agreed to give us another room on the third floor. She stated she had to call the manager; apparently staff in this hotel have no authority to act on their own. The second room appeared clean; a very thorough inspection revealed nothing of concern. However, while I was sitting on the bed, I observed a bedbug crawling across the exposed sheet. Since the linens had been completely removed from the bed for inspection, I assumed the bug had hitchhiked from downstairs. Another thorough room inspection was completed. Had we not been so exhausted, we probably would have switched hotels, but we managed to get a few hours of sleep. In the morning, upon checkout, we discussed the issue with the desk clerk, who was lovely and sympathetic. She called the manager (Ash), who refused any compensation based on it being an online booking....through their own website, not another third party site. We didn\'t expect a comped room but did think some nominal credit was appropriate. Ash did instruct the clerk to tell us we could have a discounted room next time. As if there would ever be a next time! Clearly, this hotel has poor/absentee management. Anyway, long story, but check your beds in this hotel very closely!
