Checked in on 9/7/2019. Wocke up on 9/8 covered in bed bug bites. total 150 bites. Welted with fever. Spoke to front desk refused to call owner or do anything at all. Left immediately. drove 15 hours home to Miami, went to doctor for meds. Have not been able to be in sun for 5 days. Could take weeks to heal. Blood Blisthers from head to toe.

We reserved a room on my friends work website because the reviews seemed okay for a place to get a few hours of sleep before heading home. We showed up after a concert at the casino around 1am on 11/23/19. The gentleman at the lobby was asleep when we arrived for check in. Once we received our key and room number we parked and went inside. When we entered our room I told my friend to not put anything down until I looked for bed bugs. Never actually finding any in my past searches I double checked images of the bugs that were on the sheets and on the bedside table. These suckers weren’t even on the edges, they were in plan site! We put a few of them on a napkin and went to ask for a refund at the front desk. When we told the desk attendant that there were bed bugs in our room and showed him the napkin he said “116, Yeah Paul knows there’s been issues with bugs in there, Paul will give you a refund.” I was amazed that Paul and this desk attendant are both aware of bed bugs being in our room and still rented it out. The desk attendant checked us out and left a message for the lady the next day. After a quick glance at the schedule he told us that Paul would be in at 9, for us to see him when we returned. When we went back later that morning the young lady desk attendant informed us that we would receive a refund and when we asked to speak to Paul she looked at a schedule and said Paul wouldn’t be in until Tuesday. I was not happy with this hotels response, the GM Paul Patel should have reached out and let us know that he had a plan to fix this issue and apologize for the inconvenience we experienced. This hotel will also be reported the the Bed Bug Registry site. Hopefully something can come of this to ensure no one gets bitten or worse takes these bugs with them to their homes.
