Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

We checked in on April 13th, 2016 and as soon as we walked in I realized that room was not clean. Since it was late and kids were tired I decided to stay that one night anyway. I always check for signs of bed bugs and there were no life bed bugs on the matress. However bathroom door was covered with rusty looking smudges. After 2 hours a life big bed bug crawled on our bed sheet! We jumped out of the bed and called management right away. They offered us another room since it was around 11 pm we didn't want to look for another hotel with 2 small kids. I checked the other room as well. No signed of bed bugs but I stayed up all night checking and doing laundry, drying all of our clothes in high temperature. I hope I won't bring any home. I'm horrified.

I pulled the mattresses apart to check for bedbugs, and to my horror, the mattress was alive. The staff were very professional about it, apologized and let us check out. Will get a refund
