I stayed at this hotel on Friday, 10/14/16, in room 205. At approximately 2:30am, I woke up with an itching sensation on my legs. When I pulled back the covers I found that I had numerous bed bugs on my legs. After killing the bed bugs that were on my legs, I began looking around the room for more. My search turned up more bed bugs. I quickly packed up my stuff, took some photos of the bed bugs, and proceeded to the front desk. I also took one of the bed bugs with me to the front desk, so as to remove any doubt about the presence of bed bugs in the room. The clerk working was very apologetic, and told me I could expect a follow up from the manager of the hotel the next day. After a week, I called the hotel looking for an update. But did not hear back from them. After not hearing anything back again for days, I made another attempt to contact the hotel. But still did not hear anything back. So I called again on 10/24/16. This time, I stated specifically that I was looking for the hotel to cover the costs of the other hotel room that I had to pay for that night. Particularly since I had to drive for over an hour at 3:30am to find another place to stay. I also requested a refund for the class fees that I had to lose out on, due to this bed bug incident at the hotel. Finally, on 10/25/16, I received a follow up call from the hotel. I was informed that management at the Gaylord Quality Inn was not going to be providing me with any compensation for the disruption and inconvenience I suffered due to this event.
