Two night stay in a single room with two queen beds. Checked out bedding upon arrival did not see any of the usual signs of bedbug stains or feces. Thought we were in the clear, WRONG. The morning of the day we were to check out I had gone downstairs to get breakfast for my kids and myself with plans of eating in our room. I pulled the covers down some and went to move a pillow when I saw the bedbug crawling on the pillow. My kids then spotted another one crawling on the sheet. I immediately went out into the hallway and showed the maid a few doors down. She stated she would notify the front desk. I went back into the room and placed the pillow in the tub. I went to the front desk told her what had happened. She explained that she would be able to give me a credit for one night and her deepest apologies. My family and I immediately packed our things and left feeling gross and itchy, of course! I truly hope they will handle the matter correctly and in a timely manner. However, my hopes are not very high. With the lack of hotel options in this area I feel they may not feel they need to do so.
