I have been a regular and happy customer for many years at the Best Western (BW) hotel in Victor, NY, while visiting family. On Thursday night August 3, 2023, I was welcomed and checked in into the BW hotel at Victor, NY, with room 238 keys and a welcoming kit. However, the excellent customer service went down the hill the following morning, declined my reasonable request for a hotel room change after I experienced bedbugs bites on my hands, arms, head, neck and torso, in room 238. Demonstrated a lack of empathy for my plight with the bedbug bites, unfriendly and inflexible. Instead of honoring my request for a hotel room change, free from pests, they gave me two options, either I could keep room 238 or I could leave the hotel. Their unwillingness to change my hotel room resulted in a total of 43 bedbugs bites transitioning into swollen, painful, and itchy blisters after being in the same room a second night. I experienced anxiety, I had the lights on all night for the fear that insects were going to be crawling on my body and feeding on me. It is a psychological trauma. No one stays at a hotel to have bedbugs feed on them. Instead, I viewed many videos on YouTube regarding bedbugs since I had never encountered this issue before in my travels. I also searched on Google and learned about products that could protect my body from being fed on by bedbugs during my sleep like lavender oil. Location of the 43 bedbugs bites on my body: 15 on the head and neck 9 on the left arm and hand 11 on the right arm and hand 8 on the torso
