We woke up this morning after staying last night, July, 15th 2017, in room at Castle Rock of Branson. We I woke up a bed bug was crawling on my arm. I quickly jumped up and woke up my husband. We caught the bug in a plastic cup and notified the front desk. She got the hotel Manager on the phone and she sent up a house keeper. 2 house keepers came to our room and confirmed that it was in fact a bed bug. She left our room with the bug and took it to the manager. The manager called our room and apologized. She advised us that we needed to put all items possible into plastic bags and they would come and get them and put them through the dryer for us. We allowed her to do that. We also bagged up all our other belongings into plastic trash bags. We were offered a full refund and breakfast free of charge. We accepted the full refund but kindly declined the breakfast.

We stayed two nights and in our third night August 3, 2019 we came back to the room at 1100pm. I walked in and found a bedbug on my child’s bed. I caught the bug in a bottle and took it downstairs with me. The lady at the front desk immediately got us checked into another room and called the manager. They offered to heat treat all of our clothing for us and of course move rooms. However since most of our stay was a prepared gift certificate purchase for my children as a gift, they were not able to reimburse us for our stay. We did have additional daily charge which was removed but the bulk of our stay was not reimbursed. While the manager said a discount was not enough to her employee she was not able to do anything since it was a gift. So for future buyers do not prepay for your room. In the event you were to find bedbugs you would be out that money.

The morning we were leaving our hotel room we found an adult bed bug crawling on a pillow. It was November 20, 2021. We did not find any others while searching the bed. Housekeeping and the front desk were notified.
