Checked into the hotel at 6pm on 7/10/17 arrived to the room.. Went to dinner got home with 4 kids and husband at 12:30-1:00am, went to sleep. My two daughters and I slept in the master bedroom while my husband and two sons feel asleep in other rooms. We woke up to several bites on our body. This hotel has a water park so we somewhat over looked the bites in a hurry to get ready to go to water park. As we got into the car to go to water park I noticed my 2 daughters wouldn't stop itching and over a dozen of bites on their arms and legs. I realized we were bitten more then I originally stopped to give attention to. I went to the front desk talked to the check in attendants, front desk advised me she would let her immediate supervisor know and to wait there. She came back and said there was a golfing conference going on and it was very busy and she would see to it it was handled and to have a nice day. With frustration I left. Front desk girl came out to valet and asked if security could take pics of us and get a written statement I agreed and completed the task. I then left and took the girls to Baycare Urgent care just to get checked out. After 3 hours they confirmed bed bugs indeed were the cause of the bites. And gave us discharge and told us how to handle it from that point moving forward. After that called back the hotel, and, advised them of the situation and she informed me that her qualified/licensed team inspected the bed and did not find one bug, egg, and or evidence to indicate bed bugs. In such utter disgust I went back to the hotel, let myself in the room and upon arrive the mattress was exposed and you could clearly see 3 bugs at the foot of the bed near the box spring on the mattress. I took videos and also pictures. Called hotel back and advised her I was there and what I seen. She said ok I can send someone back so you can show him but I stand behind my people and the decisions they make. I hung up on her. Someone came I showed him the bugs,also the bug I trapped in a glass cup and also the blood spots on the mattress on the side. He replied ohh I should have looked closer under the covers. He said ohh yeah your right. OK I'll let the office know. And left . I left the resort in so much disgust, anger, pissed off and headed to the laundry mat to wash allll of our clothes before we headed home. Left the property with not one apology not 1. No one, and I mean no one regarding this entire incident said I apologize, in sorry. I will never again go to this facility, it's disgusting and just to know the next person will go in the same room and experience the same thing.
