Date: 9/25 - 9/27, 2023 Time: Discovered at approx 5am on 9/27. I had inspected the room upon check in and did not see any evidence of bed bugs. Woke up with itchy bites on 9/27 and stripped the linens from the bed but did not initially see any bugs or other evidence. I went to the front desk and they immediately apologized and upgraded me to a different room. When I returned to my room to pack my things, that’s when I spotted the bedbug in my linens. At that point I decided to return home early. The staff spoke to me at length and walked me through the process they will take as well as instructed me to save receipts from cleaning, medical visits, and any other expenses so I could be reimbursed once a pest control expert confirms the presence of bedbugs in the room.
