DIRTY AND INFESTED WITH BED BUGS. Stayed here overnight on a drive from Florida. Our first room (702) had stains on the carpet and stains on the comforter as well as the sheets. We asked to be moved to a different room and they moved us to room 1411. WE WOKE UP WITH BITES ALL OVER OUR BODIES. The manager was immediately notified and said he would take care of everything. It was pretty clear by his response that this has happened many many times at this hotel and by reading some of the reviews below(wish I had read them before staying there). We requested their pest management company to come in and inspect the room and our belongings. After an hour of waiting we went back to the room to change my daughter\'s diaper to find ALL OUR BELONGINGS GONE!! This includes my wife\'s purse, our car keys and the much needed diapers. After asking the manager and others NO ONE COULD TELL ME WHERE OUR BELONGINGS WERE! They removed these items WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION OR KNOWLEDGE! We came to find out later that they sent it all to be \"cleaned\". These items should have remained in the room for a proper inspection but it is clear that they were just looking to cover this up. Finally we were able to retrieve our belongings and thankfully all our items were still there. In the meantime their inspector showed up and said the room was negative! Now we aren\'t talking about a bite or two on our bodies - we are talking OVER 50 BITES! It\'s no wonder they are INFESTED WITH BED BUGS since even when they have a problem they can\'t find it. They supposedly only inspect with this company quarterly and when they do come they obviously can\'t find a huge problem. In addition to having lots of bed bugs the room was filthy. After I moved the bed away from the wall I found lots of garbage and dust including food and a bandaid. The Omni hotel group should be ashamed at the condition of this property as well as the response by their management. We had previously stayed at the Omni in Jacksonville on our way down to Florida and found it to be exceptional and actually sought this one out on our way home. Bottom line - STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. It\'s dirty, infested with pests and the management is completely incapable of dealing with these issues.
