I checked in around 3:30 dropped off my bags to spend time with family, have dinner etc. When I came back that night as I went to turn the light off I noticed a brownish red bug by the lamp and immediately knew. I grabbed my items and went down stairs they asked if I wanted to switch rooms. I said no as I'm not comfortable here now. I asked for a refund. The lady at the front desk said she's following protocol and isn't allowed to refund. They had noone on site that was allowed and had to wait til Monday when the general manager shows up to approve it. This happened tonight 4/17/21 before 10pm. I'm crying upset, tired unable to be reassured that I can get my money back, not knowing if these bed bugs got in my stuff. Having to now drive home instead of resting. Scared of having to deal with this issue somewhere else and overall completely upset with how they handled it and the fact they didn't have anyone on site able to fix this issue. Will never stay at another marriott ever again because of this and how I found the company to not manage things better.
