Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

We found bed bugs in the pillows on one bed. We took the pillow down to the front desk and the lady came up to bag a few. It was like she didn't believe us but there were a bunch. Thankfully we found them before we went to bed. We weren't charged for our room. We checked out and drove 6 hours home.

I was waking up periodically to watch weather approaching the area, lights off but laptop lightning the bed. Caught something moving out of the corner of my eye and realized it was a bed bug crawling away from me. I managed to take a picture that is slightly blurry but you can see the shape. After seeing it I studied the mattress edges and such but could not find evidence of where it was hiding. I went downstairs and asked for another room and moved. The guy wrote something on a clipboard but in the morning I saw a maid standing outside my previous room across and down the hall and went over to talk to her. She hadn't heard about it. This hotel was very clean and the room was very nice.
