Unfortunately, I have been bitten by bed bugs due to a visit at a nursing home 2 years go. Very difficult get rid of and very stressful, but I know what to look for and I can recognize the bite. While staying on the first floor in April 1 - 5, 2016 I began encountering bites on my neck and arms about 2-3 days in. These were identical to previous bed bug bites. Management was notified and stated they would call in pest control. I never saw them come in (but they could have) but I did see a maintenance worker leaving my room with a flash light. According to the manager (dark haired female who was very unpleasant btw), there was no indication of bed bugs and even offered to send me the report from the pest control company. She took down my email address. We simply asked to change rooms and the manager made a big scene. EVERYONE was very nice and helpful other than her. Unfortunately I never received the promised email of the inspection so I can neither officially confirm or deny bed bugs. There was no issue in the new room.
