Staying at the Marriott Townplace in Warren, Michigan and I found an adult bed bug on my pillow, crawling just before I was about to leave. When I killed it, it was full of blood. I picked it up and took it to the front desk. The front clerk, Sam, said I had been in the room for a week so they were not moving me. I called once getting to my car and talked to a woman that said the same thing. This is my first encounter with a bed bug, and a Marriott at that. The hotel staff was not helpful and very rude upon me making them aware. Very bad experience and I am here in Michigan on business. On top of having to work now I have to try and find another hotel because the staff made me very uncomfortable.

Townplace Suites Marriott Chicago Road is in denial of their bed bug infestation. I was treated like I brought bed bugs to their establishment and was totally disrespected. I had to move myself, pay for my own laundry, and was disregarded because their hotel had bed bugs. The General Manager, Brandon Cardillo, even hiked up my rate from $83 to $89 upon me checking out because they have bed bugs. What a way to be in Michigan for the first time .
