Due to a power outage we needed to find a hotel. So we found this Motel 6 which used to be La Quinta Inn, We Checked in on Thursday, July 25th around 5:30am and checked out by 5:45am Yes, just 15 minutes later... First we had trouble opening our door, we had to go back to office and she gave us another card key so we got in. We had a 2 queen bed room. I sat on my bed to eat breakfast. My wife went to the other bed and pulled down the covers.. Right there was a bed bug plain in site! She threw the covers screaming.. Then she saw another bug (maybe scorpion, not sure) Go from the dresser and ran under bed. We immediately grabbed our belongings and ran out of the room. Went to front desk and showed her a picture we took of the bed bug! Asked her for a refund. We decided we rather go home and suffer in the HOT as blazes summer in Phoenix Arizona with no electric than to spend one more minute in a hotel like that! The hotel was disgusting and I wouldn't stay there if THEY paid ME! Luckily the woman at the desk didn't argue about a refund. She didn't even seem surprised over any of it. Which to me, means it must be a common occurrence.
