Our family stayed at this Hotel the Weekend of Feb 1st and 2nd for a sporting event our kids were involved in. There were many other families there for the same reason. We had a room on the 4th floor and our friends had a room on the 3rd floor. The hotel was generally clean and in a good location, but we started finding signs of things not being as clean once we looked closer. On the first morning my husband and my kids woke up with a rash around the ankles. We attributed it to the hot tub chemicals. Our friends staying on another floor had the same thing and we all decided the Hot tub was probably the cause. The day we checked out I also had the same rash and so I pulled back the sheets and looked and saw all kinds of tiny specs and debris by the corners of the bed. I thought it could be Bed Bugs. I told staff and asked to have housekeeping come and look. The girl at the front desk was very rude about it and seemed offended I even suggested they could have Bed Bugs. She told me they have never had them in the past and went as far as telling me I was mistaken. She said Housekeeping was gone for the day and there were no other rooms to move our families to. She went on to very rudely tell us that we were the only people who had mentioned this and then elaborated on the fact we were wrong about Bed Bugs. Her customer service was deplorable and she reminded me of a spoiled teenager who was ill behaved. Even her facial expressions were rude. We were glad we were checking out. The next day ( Monday ) We were all seen by our family Physician and he told us those were Bed Bug bites and gave us cream to treat the bites and ran some blood work to check for anything they could have passed on. We have now had to have our home and vehicles treated for Bed Bugs and so have our friends who were also staying there that weekend. Any hotel can get Bed Bugs , but it is the hotels that refuse to acknowledge they have them or could have them and do not treat them that are a problem. Because of that and the fact that this Hotel simply would not acknowledge the possibility and has not treated for them , we would never stay here again and would tell others to find another hotel in the area as well.
