Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

On the third night I woke up with bites. I noticed black flecks/small bugs. The night staff immediately moved me to another room. The next morning I went back to retrieve my phone cord and noted the whole room was torn apart. I do think they could have been more concerned. I had to demand reimbursement and it was like they didn't believe me despite the photos. After I left, my whole body was covered in bites. I understand it can take a while for them to show.
