We checked on Christmas Eve for an 8 day stay. We had 2 rooms. We were informed there would be no cleaning service normally but because we’re staying so long we could request it but we had to schedule it and be gone from the room for 3 hours. We scheduled a cleaning for Monday but they failed to come so we rescheduled it for Tuesday, December 28. While we were out in Branson housekeeping called to inform us 809 had bed bugs. We had to come and empty both our rooms and put everything in big bags. They took everything to be placed in special dryers. They also had to find us 2 more rooms which took some time. We had tickets to a show in a hr so we had to ask for robes so the clothes we had on could also be treated. Later that night we came back to piles of bags with all our now wrinkled clothes. All the shoes were ruined. Expensive boots, running shoes etc. all ruined. The dryers must be so hot the it completely disfigured the shoes. We had already purchased show tickets or we would have gone home immediately. We were told the general manager would be calling but he never did call. We checked out on Thursday, 2 days early and were told they wouldn’t charge us for the early departure and would comp us the 2 days. We asked if the had some type of insurance for the ruined shoes but no one could answer as the manager was never there to speak to us. My daughter has bites on her and we have a picture of a huge bed bug we saw while moving out of the room. I have to say it was a nightmare and it ruined our Christmas vacation. My husband and I both own our own business and customer service is everything so to never have the general manager get involved is appalling.
