8/5/2023 My family & I checked into room 2101 on Saturday 8/5/2023. The room appeared very dated, but clean. The staff was very nice and helpful. Unfortunately the next morning I spotted a bed bug crawling up our headboard. Luckily the headboard was white, otherwise I doubt it would have been visible. My husband and I immediately grabbed the bug with a tweezers, and placed it in a sandwich baggie. We wanted to be understanding about the situation & discretely took it to the front desk. The girl working was very nice and immediately moved us to a new room on a different floor. The manager did come and speak with us, assuring that they would have an inspection of our 1st room done & let us know what the findings were. I called him upon returning home Monday & then again Tuesday. Finally he returned my call and confirmed that bed bugs were found in our room. I was insistent that they issue us a refund for at least the first night & they issued a full refund for both nights which we appreciated. Hopefully we didn't bring any bugs home with us. it is always a risk when staying anywhere, but obviously disappointing to have this issue in what should have been a more upscale hotel.
